We believe education is a right,
not a privilege.
SPMJ Foundation began with a simple conviction: that no child's future should be decided by where they were born or what their family can afford. We exist to close that gap — one learner at a time.
From one classroom to a movement.
SPMJ Foundation was started by a small group of teachers and volunteers who kept meeting bright, eager children with nowhere to learn. Families wanted education for their kids — but fees, distance, and daily survival kept getting in the way.
So we opened a single free learning centre under a borrowed roof. Word spread, families came, and children stayed. Today that one room has grown into a network of centres, scholarships, and digital labs — but our promise is unchanged: learning should be free, joyful, and within every child's reach.
Our mission
To provide free, quality education and holistic support to underprivileged children, so they can break the cycle of poverty through learning.
Our vision
A world where every child — regardless of income, gender, or background — has equal access to the education they need to shape their own future.
Our approach
We support the whole child: schooling, nutrition, digital skills, and mentoring — working alongside families and local communities, not apart from them.
The values that shape our work.
Every child matters
We meet children where they are and believe in every one of them — no learner is written off, ever.
Education is a right
Learning should never depend on a family's income. Our programs are free and open to all.
Dignity first
We serve with respect, never charity that shames. Children and families are partners, not recipients.
Transparency & trust
Open reporting and honest numbers. Every supporter can see exactly how their contribution is used.
Rooted in community
Our teachers and volunteers come from the same neighbourhoods as our students. Change grows from within.
In it for the long run
We walk with children from their first lessons to higher education and beyond. Real change takes years.
